Don't Like Mirrored Closet Doors

I think RV manufactures like using mirrored closet doors because it gives the illusion of the bedroom being larger then it actually is.  Well me and my wife hate the mirrored doors.  They really are not in a good spot to stand in front of and we don't like having them stare back at us.

My solution was to replace the mirrors with 1/4 inch oak plywood.  The first step was to remove the frame around the mirror which for me was easy and it came apart in four pieces.  Next take the mirror and use it as the template to mark the plywood for cutting.  Stain plywood with natural oak and give it 3 coats of polyurethane sanding lightly in between coats.  Next reassemble the frame around the plywood.  Reinstall the doors.  Another benefit is the plywood doors are probably 30 pounds lighter.
